ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella received a call this evening from the President of Israel, Isaac Herzog. The interview was open and frank. President Mattarella stressed the urgent need to abandon the state of permanent war in the Middle East, also declaring that the attacks against troops engaged in the Unifil contingent are unacceptable. The Italian President also stressed the need for respect for the right of navigation in international waters. Mattarella reiterated the determined commitment of the Italian Republic against every act of anti-Semitism.
