The South that innovates New York: 081 Stand For Naples brings culture, science and enterprise to the Italian Institute of Culture

In the last two years, 081 has involved hundreds of young professionals and has developed initiatives dedicated to the entrepreneurial and cultural development of our Italy. 081 donated 50,000 euros to Start-up Campane, organized the first workshop for Neapolitan Entrepreneurs on Private Equity with the aim to promote more ‘investment in the South and Naples and restored many works in the city. “Real how 081 are fundamental to counter the social emergency we live in our country with about 100,000 Young people fleeing each year and about 25% under 35 lost in recent years. The NYC initiative aims to bring together leading figures capable of representing the dynamism and talent of South Italy in the global landscape. Among the speakers, the actress Cristiana Dell’Anna, known to the general public for her role in Gomorra and for the interpretation of Mother Cabrini, will bear a testimony on the value of cultural narrative and Italian identity in the world. Next to her, Antonio Giordano, MD, PhD and professor of Molecular Biology at Temple University, will deepen the contribution of scientific research and innovation in the medical field. And Massimo Petrone, CEO of the well-known Campanian group and now increasingly international Petrone. To moderate the meeting will be Davide Ippolito, founder of Il Newyorkese, who will guide the debate among the protagonists.

The event is an important opportunity to strengthen the link between Italy and the United States, enhancing the contribution of the South as an engine of innovation, creativity and development.
