ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “The ID without limits. Thanks to a rule intended by this Government, the new Electronic Identity Cards for those who have completed seventy years will have unlimited validity. We strongly wanted this change to make life easier for more than ten million people. The new cards will also maintain full validity for the expatriation. This measure fits into the simplification path we are carrying out from the beginning of the legislature. We have already made over 460 administrative simplifications, intervening on procedures that for too long have unnecessarily weighted the lives of citizens and enterprises. Our goal is to continue building an increasingly simple public administration and close to people. Without limits.” Thus in a note the Minister for Public Administration Paolo Zangrillo on the introduction of the Electronic Identity Charter (CIE) of unlimited duration for citizens who have completed seventy years, in force from 30 July 2026.
