TRENTO (ITALPRESS) – “Public administration is experiencing a profound transformation that concerns not only the internal organization of administrations, but also the way in which public work is perceived, especially by new generations.” The Minister for Public Administration, Paolo Zangrillo, said this today at the Festival dell’Economia di Trento.
During the intervention, the minister highlighted the results achieved on the front of the recruitment and modernization of the PA. “inPA is today the only gateway to public administration and has over 3 million and 100 thousand registered users, of which 1 million and 300 thousand under 35. In the last three years we have assumed about 640 thousand people, lowering the average age of public employees from 51 to 48 years.”
Zangrillo then underlined the strategic role of artificial intelligence in the transformation of the public sector: “IA can help administrations to be more efficient, faster and able to offer better services to citizens and businesses. This is why we are increasingly investing in training with specific programmes.”
Among the innovative tools mentioned by the minister also “Minerva”, the system developed to support strategic planning of the human capital, and “Norma AI”, the project designed to simplify access to legislation through artificial intelligence. “Technology must be an instrument at the service of people and not replace human responsibility,” the minister explained.
There is also a wide scope for the valorisation of public staff and the draft law on merit, currently being examined by Parliament. “We are building a more modern and attractive public administration, able to recognize talent, reward results and offer concrete growth paths to those who demonstrate skills and skills.”.
On the face of bargaining, the minister reiterated the government’s commitment to close contractual renewals by summer. “For the first time we are guaranteeing continuity to renewals, as it has never happened in Republican history. We have recovered the delay accumulated by previous governments, closed in record time the return 2019/2021, 2022/2024 and started negotiations for the three-year period 2025/2027 in the reference period. A fundamental goal that enhances the work of our people,” the minister concluded.
