Zangrillo “A modern public administration to attract investments”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “A competitive country attracts capital when offering clear rules and simple procedures. This is how public administration becomes an enabling factor in investment choices.” Thus the Minister for Public Administration, Paolo Zangrillo, speaking in Trieste at the third edition of “Selecting Italy – Attraction foreign investments and regional value chains”, organized by the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces and the Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia. The Minister stressed that the efficiency of the public sector is an indispensable condition for foreign investment: “Businesses grow where they find a modern public administration, capable of accompanying and not hindering development.”.

Zangrillo has illustrated the initiatives put on the ground on the front of the procedures with almost 400 simplifications realized. “To be truly competitive, we must value those who make organizations live: our people. From the remuneration point of view with the signing of the contract local functions 2022/2024 we preview, for more than 430 thousand employees working in the local authorities, average monthly increments pairs to 142 euros and average arretrati of approximately 2.360 euros. In addition to this, the initiatives aimed at ensuring continuous training for our people, also in the matter of attraction of foreign investments, and introducing career and growth systems based on merit,” added the minister.

Zangrillo then recalled the allocation of 100 million to support smaller municipalities with the aim of introducing digital solutions and innovating organizations. “Continuing to modernize the public sector and simplify procedures thanks to teamwork with all the actors involved is our goal: Italy can only continue to be a reference point for those who choose to invest in our country,” the minister concluded.
