MILAN (ITALPRESS) – The Nuova Diga Foranea in Genoa continues to grow at a tight pace. A few days after passing the first kilometer extension, the construction site led by Webuild successfully laid the twenty-fourth cassone. A step forward for the project of the Consortium PerGenova Breakwater, realized on behalf of the Authority of Harbour System of the Western Ligurian Sea, which sees men and means engaged in a complex choral operation between land and sea.
The organizational efficiency of the yard and the full operativity of the engaged teams are confirmed fundamental elements for the realization of one of the most strategic infrastructure projects for the Italian harbour system.
The cassone – 40 metres long, 25 metres wide and 18.70 metres high – has reached its position on the backdrop thanks to a complex series of operations at sea, conducted in compliance with the most stringent safety standards and even in the presence of marine weather conditions not always favorable.
