MILAN (ITALPRESS) – The Standard & Poor’s rating agency has now improved the outlook for UniCredit SpA’s rating from stable to positive, while confirming the Issuer Credit Rating (‘ICR’) and the Senior rating Preferred to “A-“, a notch above the Italian sovereign rating. This follows the positive rating action on Italy. According to S&P, UniCredit ratings are supported by the solid and diverse geographical presence of the bank throughout Europe, its robust generation of profits, abundant liquidity and good quality of the assets.
The strong overall creditworthiness of the UniCredit Group allows to assign a positive outlook to its subsidiaries in Germany and Austria, which benefit from the support of the group. The independent credit profile was confirmed to “a-“, while the long and short-term counterpart ratings were confirmed respectively at ‘A’ and “A-1”. The short-term credit rating of the issuer was confirmed at “A-2”.
