The partnership between Webuild and Confartigianato was launched to enhance the infrastructure chain and Italian SMEs

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – A bridge between large infrastructure and small Italian companies: This is the heart of the agreement signed today between Webuild, a global leader in the construction of complex works, and Confartigianato Enterprise, the largest organization of representation of crafts and small and micro-business. The strategic agreement aims to promote the inclusion of SMEs in the supply chain of the Group, which only in Italy has over 14,200 direct suppliers, contributing to promote economic and social development. The agreement was created with the aim of creating a more competitive shared ecosystem, based on quality, innovation and sustainability in the maintenance and management of infrastructure assets.

“This agreement is not only a collaboration between two realities, but an investment in the country system”, commented Pietro Salini, CEO of Webuild. “Infrastructures are the engine of development and to work to the best they must involve all the Italian productive energies, from large enterprises to small local realities that make the Made in Italy unique in the world. We believe that the strength of Italy is in the ability to team: integrate skills, innovate and create widespread work and opportunities. With Confartigianato we want to build a more solid and inclusive chain, capable of generating value for communities and for the national economy”.

“Our enterprises, with their roots in the territories and the excellence of the artisan skills – Marco Granelli, President of Confartigianato said – are a unique heritage of quality, flexibility and innovative capacity. Putting these energies at the service of infrastructure challenges means strengthening the competitiveness of Italy and creating new opportunities for widespread growth. With Webuild we share the desire to build a more open, inclusive and reliable supply chain, where SMEs can fully express their value. It is a common commitment to support the development of the territories, improve the quality of public works and contribute to a more modern, dynamic and cohesive country system.”.

The partnership provides for the definition of joint initiatives and operational tools to ensure innovation, reliability and capillary coverage in the national territory. In this context, Confartigianato will provide its 4CNetwork consortia network, while Webuild will offer businesses opportunities for training and qualification on legality, transparency and safety at work, through its systems and dedicated programs.

Webuild is a global leader in building large complex infrastructures. With 120 years of history, it operates in about 50 countries and has about 95.000 people.
