The analysis of the new Italian emigration and the transformations in place in the communities abroad will be the subject of deepening of the webinars organized by the VII Thematic Commission “New migrations, new generations” of the General Council of Italians abroad, chaired by Matteo Bracciali.

“The Italian emigration today – Dialogue with Lorenzo Di Lenna, Fondazione Nord Est” is the title of the first meeting that will take place on 1 April at 17:30, during which will deepen the data and the structural dynamics of the outgoing migration flows, the socio-professional profile of migrants, the main destinations and implications for the Italian economic and territorial system.

The second webinar will take place on Monday, April 20th at 17.30 and will be dedicated to the presentation of the research “Crescere Expat – Italian families around the world”, curated by Eleonora Voltolina and promoted by the Fondazione Migrantes. A study that offers a specific look on Italian families abroad analyzing educational, working and identity dimensions of contemporary mobility.

Both webinars provide a moment of comparison with the Councilors of CGIE and the Comites, to analyze the results of the research with the institutional representation of Italians abroad and with the operational perspectives of the communities resident in the territories of emigration.
