ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The House of the House has definitively approved the Dl infrastructure. The measure with the ‘Urgent provisions on extraordinary commissioners and concessions’ consists of 15 articles. The vote was 160 and 110. The measure unlocks the iter for the connection between Sicily and Calabria with the Bridge on the Strait and introduces urgent measures for different strategic works, including the traffic of the Gran Sasso, the A24-A25 highways, the Metro C of Rome and the interventions for the Venice Lagoon.

With the final vote of the Chamber, the Commission Decree is definitively law. A measure that accelerates the realization of Italian strategic works, simplifies procedures and strengthens the decision-making capacity of the state. Anas and RFI CEOs become extraordinary commissioners for major road and rail works, with broader powers to coordinate authorizations, overcome bureaucratic slowdowns and ensure certain times. In addition, in order to ensure a more unitary management of the interventions, the same managing directors of Anas and RFI have already appointed commissioners, to make the progress of the yards faster and more effective. The decree expresses a turning point to decisive infrastructures for the country, from the Bridge on the Strait to the MOSE to the new dam of Genoa, also strengthening maintenance and safety of the road and railway network. “A plan aimed at transforming public works into a concrete engine of development, without new burdens for public finance” reads in the note of the Mit.
