ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Renewal of leadership in Femca Cisl. The General Council of the federation of Energy, Fashion and Chemistry, meeting in Rome this morning, elected Sebastiano Tripoli as Secretary General. The National Secretariat Ivano Dalla Brea, Giovanni Rizzuto, Raffaele Salvatoni and Carlotta Schirripa complete.
Tripoli, former Deputy Secretary-General, succeeds Nora Garofalo, outgoing Secretary-General, who leaves office. Originally from Augusta (Siracusa), class 1973, Tripoli has grown professionally and laboriously within the industrial and petrochemical pole Syracusano, key territory for the Italian energy and chemical sector. In March 2013 he became the first General Secretary of the newly-formed Femca Cisl Ragusa-Siracusa, and was reconfirmed for a second term in 2017. In 2018 I approve of the National Secretariat.
In the Energy sector he managed dossiers and strategic tables linked in particular to the oil, refining and energy transition. In June 2025 he was confirmed as National Secretary, on the occasion of the 7th National Congress held in Rimini.
In February 2026, the General Council of Femca Cisl elected him Secretary-General Added to the national level, consolidating his position as a prominent figure of the Federation, alongside General Secretary Nora Garofalo.
“Hereditated a solid and solid Federation, rooted and free – Tripoli said, thanking the outgoing secretary Garofalo –. Femca Cisl will continue, in the wake of continuity, in its action of presidio of our compartments, strengthening and relaunching bargaining, participation, security and training in all places of work.”.
“The instability of the geopolitical framework, ecological and digital transitions, artificial intelligence and transformations of production models force us to a continuous and punctual reassessment of rights and skills, risks and safeguards, for women and men we take care of. We will work in the groove of the values of Cisl”.
During the General Council, Nora Garofalo, the first woman in 2017 to lead a great federation of industry within the union. The outgoing General Secretariat greeted the Federation after years of militancy and union experience.
“What we did together was an extraordinary journey. In these years we have crossed complex seasons and incredible industrial transformations, net of a pandemic that has rewritten the rules of our living and working. We have never lost heart. We have signed contractual renewals always trying to push a little further beyond the asticella, both on the regulatory and economic parts and we have defended employment at every level. I leave a healthy female, who has head, heart and legs to face the challenges that await her. I leave the Femca in safe hands, embracing it all, all one by one, with a deep sense of gratitude. Because the union is not a place or a theme. It is a community of people who choose to walk together. Happy journey to Sebastian, to his Secretariat and to all of Femca Cisl”.
