MILAN (ITALPRESS) – From 7,00 this morning and until 15.00, seats again open for administrative elections. There are over 6.6 million Italians called to elect new mayors and city councillors. The vote covers 894 municipalities, of which 121 are greater than 15 thousand inhabitants.
The turnout yesterday at 23:00 was 46.3%. The return also involves several provincial capitals including: Venice, Reggio Calabria, Lecco, Mantua, Arezzo, Pistoia, Avellino, Crotone and Salerno. Any ballots will be held on 7 and 8 June in the Municipalities over 15 thousand inhabitants, in case no candidate reaches the absolute majority in the first round.
