From 14 to 16 April 2026 he returned to Boston for his third edition Science, Technology and Business (STB) Days, an initiative promoted by the General Consulate of Italy, strategic to promote Italy in the United States, leveraging on the three fundamental pillars of Education, Research and Innovation.
The Consul General of Italy in Boston Arnaldo Minuti points out that in one of the most advanced ecosystems in the world, New England, the event will bring together scientists, academics, entrepreneurs, investors and institutions for three days, with the aim of facing the great contemporary challenges and strengthening synergies between Italy and the United States. The program, articulated and dynamic, with a multidisciplinary approach, includes round tables, meetings, fireside chat and networking sessions, favouring a direct comparison between leading players of the two ecosystems.
The STB Days 2026 will address four macro-areas considered crucial for the future of humanity and the planet: life sciences, environment and energy, artificial intelligence and data science, materials and new manufacturing technologies, says the Councillor for Science and Technology Paolo Gaudenzi. These will include transversal themes such as art, architecture, design and sustainability, to analyse the impact of innovation on development models and daily life.
The debate is part of the UN Agenda 2030 objectives, with a focus on concrete solutions for sustainable and inclusive growth. There will be no shortage of insights into digital transformation, sustainable development and new manufacturing borders, with particular attention to entrepreneurship and innovation.
Tre giornate, tre anime: Education, Research, Innovation
The event will develop in three thematic days:
14 aprile – Education: protagonista “Careers”, appuntamento di mentoring e networking giunto alla quarta edizione, che metterà in contatto studenti e giovani ricercatori con aziende, università e istituzioni. Università d’eccellenza come Harvard, MIT, Northeastern, Boston University, Boston College e Tufts saranno coinvolte insieme a imprese e studi di consulenza attivi nel New England.
15 aprile – Research, in occasione della Giornata Nazionale della Ricerca: cuore scientifico della manifestazione, con lo Science Forum articolato in sessioni dedicate a life sciences, energia e ambiente, AI/data science, materiali avanzati e spazio. L’obiettivo è promuovere il dialogo interdisciplinare e valorizzare l’eccellenza della ricerca italiana e italo-americana.
16 aprile – Innovation Day, in occasione della Giornata nazionale del Made in Italy: spazio a startup, venture capital e grandi aziende con il Business Forum. In programma sessioni parallele su cooperazione industriale, innovazione e investimenti, oltre a una Startup Competition che vedrà giovani imprese presentare i propri progetti a investitori internazionali. La giornata si concluderà con un networking dinner.

Among the protagonists already confirmed are important names of the international academic and scientific panorama, including Maurizio Fava (Harvard), Imma De Vivo (Harvard), Christopher Di Giovanni (Harvard), Emilio Baglietto (MIT), Raffaele Ferrari (MIT) and Admir Masic (MIT).
From Italy, among others, Isabella Saggio (Sapienza), Roberto Baldoni (Italian Embassy in Washington), Bianca Maria Colosimo (Politecnico di Milano), Achille Spinelli (Provincia Autonoma di Trento).

On the industrial front, large Italian groups such as ENEL and Angelini will participate together with important industrial groups such as Sanofi and international consultancy companies such as BIP.
In parallel to the days STB Days will be held the exhibition “In Praise of Diversity – A Journey into Italian Ecosystems”, curated by Isabella Saggio and hosted at the General Consulate of Italy in Boston.
The exhibition proposes an immersive journey into Italian biodiversity, crossing terrestrial, marine and urban ecosystems. The project, developed by researchers at the National Biodiversity Future Center (NBFC) and the Sapienza University of Rome, combines scientific rigour and artistic expression to offer a new perspective on biodiversity.
The inauguration of the exhibition, scheduled for April 14 at 4 pm, to which will take part Prof. Lino Fiorentino President of the NBFC will coincide with the official opening of the STB Days, underlining the strong link between research, innovation and culture.
Networking will be the distinctive element of Science, Technology and Business (STB) Days: interactive sessions, one-to-one meetings and thematic tables will be designed to foster the emergence of concrete collaborations between scientists, entrepreneurs and investors. Particular attention will be paid to innovative business models, data-driven strategies and access to funding.
Partner of the initiative will be the Italian Heritage Month Committee of Massachusetts, flanked by realities like 42N, Bocconi Alumni Boston Chapter and Italian Trade Agency USA.
Boston’s choice confirms the international vocation of the event: the city is today one of the leading global poles for life sciences, clean energy, artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing. In this context, STB Days are a privileged bridge between two highly innovative ecosystems.
