ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “The DDL 1552 is not a reform of hunting: it is an unfaithful and ideological attempt to crush the delicate balance of law 157. It is an unconditional surrender to the most extremist fringe, in the wake of science, European law and the constitutional duty to protect the ecosystem and biodiversity. The DDL transforms the scientific opinion of ISPRA from binding to purely advisory, replacing science with a technical faunistic-venatory committee, i.e. with politics. The European Commission itself warns that this transformation is likely to affect the protection system established by the Birds Directive, opening the door to derogations adopted even in contrast with the scientific opinion. And there is a scandal in the scandal: the government received the letter of Brussels already in December 2025 and deliberately kept it hidden, while the Parliament discussed the measure. He never answered our questions about this. We therefore ask for the immediate withdrawal of the DDL 1552′′. So the secretary of the Pd, Elly Schlein.
