ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The Department for Equal Opportunities has arranged the extraordinary transfer to the Inps of an additional 2.9 million destined for the Freedom Revenue for the year 2026. The new resources will allow to accept the applications which have already been admissible which, in some regions, had not found financial coverage in the context of the previously allocated availability. The measure was adopted as a result of the audits carried out by the Department for Equal Opportunities, on the basis of the data transmitted by the Inps on the trend of the measure, which, in some territories, highlighted a requirement higher than the available resources. The Institute announces that it has updated the regional financial availability within the freedom audit management procedure, following the transfer of additional resources provided by the Decree of 5 August 2026.
For 2026, the total resources allocated to the measure were initially quantified in 16,5 million. The new extraordinary resources strengthen the intervention and allow to expand the audience of the beneficiaries, guaranteeing the financing of the eligible applications remaining waiting for lack of funds. Inps points out that additional resources will be used primarily for the acceptance of applications for the year 2026 without financial coverage. Any regional resources already transferred and not yet used will meet the acceptance of the applications only after the exhaustion of the available state funds. The provisions already laid down in circular Inps No 44 of 9 April 2026 on access requirements, procedures for submitting applications, instructors and provision of benefit remain firm.
