PERUGIA (ITALPRESS) – Information changes face and questions about its destiny. From paper crisis to digital, to artificial intelligence: a journey that has transformed the way to produce and consume news. On these themes will be confronted publishers, directors and institutions in the day-convene “Editory and information: paper, digital… and then? The Internet has unrolled the paper, the AI is turning digital. Who has the courage to write the future?”, scheduled in Città di Castello (Perugia) Thursday 13 November from 9.30 to 13.30. Among the protagonists: Alberto Barachini, undersecretary of publishing; Giacomo Lasorella, President Agcom; Francesco Dini, Vice-President Fieg; Andrea Barchiesi, CEO of Reputation Manager; together with publishers and directors of some major Italian newspapers. Five panels are planned to analyze an area that changes to the speed of the algorithm: from the “count collection” between paper and digital to the role of artificial intelligence, from the new frontiers of regulation to strategies to save newsstands, leaders of freedom and community.
The initiative is promoted by the Corriere dell’Umbria and the Corriere Group and was conceived by the publisher Francesco Polidori emeritus and the director of the Group’s publications, Sergio Casagrande, who will moderate the panel dedicated to editors and directors and will hold a dialogue with the undersecretary Barachini. The Director of Economy, Sergio Luciano, will instead lead the panel with Francesco Dini and Andrea Barchiesi. In closing a dialogue between the director of First Communication, Alessandra Ravetta, and the president of Agcom, Giacomo La Sorella.
