The A Series will bring a free camp for children and children between 8 and 13 years. The event will be held on Saturday, June 20 at Chelsea Waterside Park Soccer Field, on the West Side of Manhattan, and will be divided into two training sessions: the first from 10 am to 11 pm, the second from 11 am to noon. Check-in for the first group will start at 9.30, the one for the second at 10.30. Participation is free, but requires registration on the official website.
The Serie A Calcio Camp is designed to bring young people closer to Italian football through a morning of field training, led by Italian technicians. This is not a true selection or a tournament, but an introductory experience: participants will be able to work with coaches linked to the Serie A Elite program and try training methods inspired by European football, in a lighter context than that of a sports academy.
The initiative is aimed at children and girls who already play or who have interest in football. The organizers also invite families to participate, not only as a public on the field: around the workouts there are activities for fans and moments of conviviality. It is a way to use football as an opportunity to bring together families, young players and fans of the Italian football culture.
The participation also includes an official kit sponsored by Puma, with mesh, shorts and socks. Food and drink are also provided, access to the fan experience, professional photographs and media content with the official trophy of Serie A.
The camp will also serve to present some opportunities related to football routes in Italy. The participants will be introduced to the sporting experiences organized in the country, designed for those who want to train in a context closer to Italian football.
