Two years of us! At the prestigious setting of the Chamber of Deputies, the first two years of activity of the New York City, our publishing and multimedia reality became the point of reference for the Italian community in New York and throughout the United States. The meeting, moderated by journalist Monica Marangoni, traced the balance of an extraordinary journey: in just two years, our network reached 20 million users, setting itself in 2026 on a constant average of 2 million monthly readers and recording a social engagement of 50 million users.
A success that combines the digital with the printed paper, with 30 printed numbers published between magazine and tabloid, distributed across the ocean in giants of publishing and large distribution such as Walmart, Barnes & Noble and Rizzoli. In addition to its editorial core, New York offers constant support to Italian institutions located in the main US geopolitical keys, including New York, Washington, Miami, Los Angeles and Detroit, collaborating stably with high-profile partners.
Among the most important news we have announced is the consolidation of the brand in the audiovisual sector. After the success of the first three films distributed on Amazon Prime Video, in fact, this winter will debut on the platforms streaming the anticipated feature film “The New York Story”, co-produced by N41 Studios. The film will feature actress Alice Luciana Parente and will include a prestigious chamber of tenor Christopher Macchio. To explain the deep strategic and cultural value of this operation is the same publisher and founder of the brand, Davide Ippolito, who said:
«The cinema has always had the extraordinary power to shape and create a community. If today we go to New York and we seem to know it already, it is because we have lived and interiorized it a thousand times through the screen. With this production we want to overturn an old interpretative cliché: the goal is to discard the classic ‘beautiful film, but it was better the book’, making the audience affirm with enthusiasm ‘beautiful the film, but equally beautiful the magazine’”.
To do the honors of the house was the Honorable Christian Di Sanzo, Deputy elected in North and Central America, who emphasized the exceptionality of the project within the panorama of international information. Di Sanzo highlighted how, at a time when the Italian press abroad is dramatically disappearing, New York represents a happy experiment in total counter-tendence. He said:
“We celebrate two years of a project born to tell the Italian community in New York and throughout the United States, with a focus on what is the new migration, made of researchers, entrepreneurs and successful professionals. This new newspaper builds real bridges between Italy and the United States, exploiting social media and new media, elements that are too often lacking in traditional foreign press. There is still a lot of story to tell and I am sure that our community outside Italy will still have great experiences”.

The word then passed to Davide Ippolito, editor and founder of the New York City, who retraced the stages of this evolution, explaining how the magazine was born to intercept a deeply changed migratory flow from the past, consisting of high-potential profiles that choose the United States to measure with new global challenges, without ever affecting the link with the motherland. «We must live New York without ever stopping being Italian». With regard to the institutional goal, Ippolito did not hide its emotion:
«I am really happy and excited to have celebrated this anniversary that is still tiny, since normally budgets are drawn to the five years. However, so many things have happened that celebrating it in such a prestigious location, together with partners like Confindustria and the Health Campus, it represents in full our idea to demonstrate the tangible and tangible impact that New York is having on the community”.
A perfect example of this impact on the production is represented by The Perfect Pitch, the call for startups born from the alliance with the confindustrial world and became a acclaimed television format. Carlo La Rotonda, General Manager of Rete Impresa (the Confindustria agency dedicated to corporate aggregations and networks), explained how the initiative was born to digitize the processes of collaboration and allow the Italian excellence to land in Detroit first, and in New York then, to confront the competitive world of American venture capital.
“As a Network Enterprise we have already found a perfect harmony with New York to make communities and help our realities get acquainted abroad for several years. The Perfect Pitch gives a concrete hand to Italian startups and innovative SMEs to enter the US market and networking with large institutional investors. In this way we transfer the talent and innovation made in Italy through a contemporary language that has translated into a television series on Mediaset Infinity from over a million views. The potential of this communication is really disruptive.”.

The Rotonda then announced that there will be a second season of the series, anticipating that the 2026 edition will move to New York and light the spotlight on the strategic sectors of fashion, accessories and fashion tech oriented to sustainability.
During the meeting, a video-message from Manhattan was screened by the Turinese actress Alice Luciana Parente, protagonist of the feature film “Il Newyorkese – A New York Story” (produced by N41 Studios), expressed her enthusiasm for a role that allowed her to combine information and art in her adoption city. Several wanted to emphasize the cultural value of the project, declaring:
“I believe that cinema and journalism are two forms of communication among the most important. Seeing how New York managed to masterfully integrate these two languages, becoming a fundamental point of reference for Italians both in New York and in Italy, it was a beautiful experience that I hope the public will fully appreciate”.
In addition to the economy and culture, New York has been able to export solidarity and health protection across the ocean, bringing in the United States the free medical excellence model of the Health Campus. Pasquale Antonio Riccio, President of the association, recalled the emotion of the first health screenings carried out on the American territory and the achievement of the special consultative status by the United Nations. During his speech, Riccio said:
“The adventure of Campus Salute in the United States began with Davide Ippolito and all the friends who animated the New York daily. It is a great challenge that is allowing us to promote the culture of volunteering and free medical prevention within the Italian community in New York and other major American cities such as Miami and Los Angeles. I hope that this journey will continue to be shipped, bringing even more extraordinary results over the coming years”.
The meeting at the Chamber of Deputies was finally the ideal opportunity to outline the upcoming, ambitious goals of the editorial group, from the new appointments of Campus Salute in the USA to the audiovisual front, until the officialized that the next edition of the prestigious Reputation Award will be held in the legendary setting of the Carnegie Hall in New York. After the success of the first three films distributed on Amazon Prime Video, the release on the streaming platforms, scheduled for this winter, of the new attesissimo film entitled Il Newyorkese – In New York Story, which will see actress Alice Luciana Parente and a cameo of the famous tenor Christopher Macchio.
In addition, the next two seasons of The Perfect Pitch were officially confirmed in collaboration with Mediaset. At the same time, the brand’s digital TV channel – which has already consolidated a base of 100,000 active users – will see a strong technological acceleration, with new dedicated applications.
