TORINO (ITALPRESS) – Today afternoon at the Turin office of the Intesa Sanpaolo skyscraper, the Olympic atmosphere was again breathed. Here the Olympic Flame, as part of the approach to the Winter Games in Milan Cortina 2026, was held: in the structure designed by Renzo Piano there were the official mascots of the event, musical performances in collaboration with the Torino Jazz Festival and moments of entertainment and talk together with the sportsman Vittorio Brumotti and journalist Massimo Caputi. The event was organized as Intesa Sanpaolo is Banking Premium Partner of the Olympic Games and Winter Paralympics of Milan Cortina. In order to support the path of Fiamma, Intesa has put in place in Italy more than 280 tedofori (including top management) and more than 100 volunteers.
Roberto Cascella, Chief People & Culture Officer of Intesa Sanpaolo: “It is a very great event in the city where so many years ago this group was born and that it is home to so many people who work there and participated in the realization of this event – he explains – Many volunteers and many colleagues whom I thank and who have participated enthusiastically in this day. It is a feast, an extraordinary occasion, a great honor and a great emotion to take part”. Together with him, always as a tedophora, there was Cristina Motta, Chief Transformation & Organisation Officer: “Today is a very special day, we are in an educational place that stimulates innovation and reminds Turin of the ability to go beyond the challenges and to know how to grasp modernity – he says – Behind this is our ability to imagine the bank of the future involving all people, all our community, citizens and all our customers.”.
On this special day, Marco Gilli, president of the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation, dressed as the Tedophorus: “As a Company we are very inspired by the Olympic principles, sport is a right, it serves to grow and for this reason we interpret it also in an educational context – he explains – We try to foster access to sport especially to the bands of the population that are more disadvantaged and fragile, we do it in collaboration with other foundations such as the Fondazione Vialli and the Fondazione Carige in Genoa”. Gilli adds: “Sport is also a way to promote environmental sustainability practices. We have a project in particular that is ‘Sport by nature’, the idea is that sport promotes well-being, outdoor sports also serves for the development of ecosystems. And then we also participated in the Special Olympics because sport is also a form of inclusiveness. We collaborated with the whole city for this great project that served those children with mental disabilities.”.
