ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The President of the Council, Giorgia Meloni, received at Palazzo Chigi the Italian astronaut of ESA, Colonel Luca Parmitano, designated by NASA as a pilot of the Artemis III mission, whose launch is planned for 2027 with the aim of opening the road to the return of man on the Moon.
During the meeting, President Meloni renewed his congratulations to the Colonel of the Air Force “for the prestigious assignment, which gives prestige to the entire nation and confirms, once again, the excellence of Italy in the space sector”, we read in a note.
At the end of the meeting, President Meloni also delivered to the astronaut the official chromatic exemplar of the Tricolor of the Republic, guarded at Palazzo Chigi, which will accompany the mission Artemis III in the space “any symbol of ingenuity, identity and Italian pride”.
