ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, sent to the President of the Alpine National Association, Sebastiano Favero, a message on the occasion of the 97th national assembly. “The 97th national assembly of the Alpini, gathered in the historic city of Genoa, will renew the indissoluble bond that unites the Black Pennes to the country. Keepers of a noble tradition of loyalty and courage that animates the units in service, members of excellence of the Army engaged in international missions to ensure stability and in crisis areas, the abandoned mountaineers, gathered in the ANA, deep in numerous volunteer activities and Civil Protection the values of solidarity that characterize them. To the sodalicy comes the appreciation of the Republic for the committed, precious resource and contribution to the life of the whole community. On this feast day, the thought goes to those who, among the Alpini, “have gone on”. The Labaro of the Association, witness of the value of those who have fallen in the fulfillment of duty, sacrificing life for the ideals of Fatherland’s love, represents them all. To all the convents, I express the wishes of a full success of the event, in the testimony of the feelings of honor and sense of duty that are their own”.
