EU, Salvini “We change the rules or in a few weeks Italy will be blocked”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The impact of the crisis in the Gulf was at the heart of the extraordinary meeting of EU Transport Ministers. During his speech, Minister Salvini explained the measures taken by the Government to mitigate the effects of “carburet” and support the transport and logistics sector. On the Italian side, the need to give more flexibility and room for manoeuvre, including tax, to the Member States suspending the Stability Pact.

It was the occasion to highlight the limits of many of the European policies and to reaffirm the need to quickly review some regulatory measures adopted with the Green Deal: starting from the ETS for the maritime and air sectors.

Salvini has also reported the announced strike of Italian hauliers, recalling that the “absurd European rules prevent us from helping companies as we would like, we cannot block Italy for the slowness and ideological octusity of the European Commission”. For Salvini, without these passages “the second industrial power of Europe, in a few weeks will be totally blocked”.
