ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Free way of the Council of Ministers to the new Decree Law on Labour, launched in view of May 1st.
MELONI “TASSELLO DI UNA STRATEGIA MOLTO PIU’ AMPIA”
“The bill we have approved today in the Council of Ministers is a stamp of a much broader strategy that the government has pursued since its settlement, which aims to support the creation of greater employment, but also of stable and quality employment. Strategy that is giving its fruits, if we look at these data that allow us to say that, today more than yesterday, Italy is a Republic founded on work”. Thus the President of the Council, Giorgia Meloni, at the press conference at Palazzo Chigi at the end of the Council of Ministers that approved the new Labour Decree.
The law decree “was almost a billion euros for the renewal of some important and effective occupational incentives, in particular those related to the recruitment of young people under 35, the recruitment of women and workers in the Zes area, but with a novelty that we consider very important: to those incentives you can access only and exclusively if you recognize and apply to your workers what we define the ‘right salary’, with which “you understand the total economic treatment.
“In recent years we have reached the number of employees, the rate of female employment has never been so high, unemployment – both youth and general – is at the lowest ever. Basically, stable work decreased precariousness,” Meloni added. “The percentage of full-time work has grown, that of part-time has decreased and Istat numbers certify that, compared to the beginning of the legislation, we have almost 1,2 million people employed in more and more than 550 thousand precari in less.”.
“For us the reference parameter to define this right wage are the national collective agreements stipulated by the most representative trade unions and employers’ organizations on the national level: it means that, thanks to these rules, those who subscribe to pirate contracts and those who subpay the workers will not have the right to public incentives at work. With this decree we say yes to the right wage and yes to a quality bargaining”.
“The decree provides for a series of rules to combat what has been defined the digital caporalato that strikes in particular riders. There are rules related to the support of those enterprises that promote life-work reconciliation initiatives,” he emphasises.
“We see this provision also as a starting point for an alliance, a pact with middle bodies, trade union organizations and very broader employers’ organizations, to which I referred on several occasions. It is not a declaration of principle, it is instead a concrete choice that then must be built measure after measure with who is available”. “We are convinced that the challenge for a quality job is won only and exclusively if we team, if we all work in the same direction and if we try to demonstrate this will with the facts,” he concluded.
CALDERONE “SOSTEGNO AD UNA CONTRATTAZIONE DI QUALITA’”
“The decree is the result of an enlarged confrontation, of many reflections and evaluations that brings on board an important endowment in terms of economic and financial resources, but above all an important message that is to support the work starting from support to the national collective bargaining of quality”. So the Minister of Labour, Marina Calderone, at the press conference at Palazzo Chigi at the end of the Council of Ministers that approved the new Decree of Labor. “The choice of linking incentives to national collective labour contracts which are signed by the more representative employers and trade unions means looking at the contract as a whole and enhancing those guarantees that gives a collective employment contract.”.
