PALERMO (ITALPRESS) – Football as an instrument of inclusion, prevention and social participation. This is the spirit of the agreement signed this morning at the stadium “Renzo Barbera” by the president of Palermo FC, Dario Mirri, and the general manager of the ASP of the capital, Alberto Firenze. The “document” marks the start of a collaboration between the club rosanero and the Provincial Health Company aimed at the realization of social, health and educational initiatives aimed at the community.
The agreement puts together two deeply rooted realities in the territory, united by the desire to promote the well-being of people through projects that look to the smallest, families and the most fragile bands of the population.
Among the initiatives envisaged by the protocol there is space “Rosanero Nati”, a project that will allow children coming to light in the birth points of the Hospitals of the ASP to receive a celebratory kit of the Palermo FC consisting of a personalized nap and a nomination certificate. A symbolic gesture that aims to strengthen the link between the city’s team and the new generations of Palermo.
Another significant point of the understanding also concerns the project “We dedicate Disability”, which will offer children and boys with autistic spectrum disorder the opportunity to live as protagonists moments linked to the activity of Palermo, through participation in events organized by the company and to initiatives in the occasion of matches played at the stadium “Renzo Barbera”.
“The Palermo represents an extraordinary sport and social reality of our city – said the general manager of the ASP of Palermo, Alberto Firenze –. Through this agreement we put together skills, sensitivity and values to realize initiatives that have a concrete relapse on the community. Health, inclusion and attention to fragile people are goals that belong both to health and sport. From today we will work together to transform them into opportunities and shared projects.”
The protocol also opens the way to further joint projects in the field of prevention, health education, psychological support and the promotion of correct lifestyles, enhancing the ability of sport to transmit positive messages and involve large population groups.
