Filosa “Bene Merz on EU standards, we have a great opportunity to rethink the rules”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “We welcome the support of the German government to the revisions of European regulations. It is based on the ACEA proposals package, all urgently needed to bring the European automotive industry back to growth. This package includes new lenses for light commercial vehicles (LCV), a regulatory framework for small cars and measures to accelerate the renewal of the car park. Now we have a great opportunity to rethink the rules and reconcile the three key objectives of Europe: decarbonization, industrial resilience that protects jobs and strategic autonomy, and economic accessibility.” This is said by the Ceo di Stellantis, Antonio Filosa, on the letter of the German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in which he officializes his opposition to the prohibition of selling thermal cars in the European Union from 2035.
