Ex Ilva, Flacks “A acquisition agreement with the Italian Government reached”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Flacks Group has reached an agreement with the Italian Government for the acquisition of Ilva steel mill, the largest integrated steel plant in Europe. This is what you read on the Linkedin page of the group. “This acquisition – the note continues – “guarantees the long-term future of a historical industrial platform, supports about 8,500 skilled workers and strengthens the fundamental European supply chains for the automotive, construction and infrastructure sectors.”.

Flacks reiterates the investment “up to €5 billion to modernize operations, including electrification and modernization of furnaces, promoting decarbonization, efficiency and sustainable growth” and confirms that, in the group’s plans, the Italian government “will remain a strategic partner with a share of 40%”, with the possibility of future purchase by the group to “witness our attention to long-term industrial partnership”. For Michael Flacks, founder and president of Flacks Group, “this transaction puts people first. Our goal is to invest in the long term, to modernize responsibly and ensure a lasting future for this historic steel plant.”.
