ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Cristian Camisa has been confirmed president of Confapi for the next three years during the private general meeting held today at the Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel in Rome. Piacentino, 51 years old, Camisa is president and CEO of T.T.A., a company operating in the mechanical sector. Leading the Italian Confederation of Small and Medium Italian private industries since November 2022, he is currently a member of the European Economic and Social Committee.
“I am moved and honored – the first words of President Camisa after the election – I thank the assembly and all the entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs of Confapi for the confidence that has been renewed to me. A great responsibility in representing such an important part of the Italian production system at such a delicate historical moment and full of challenges, including those related to innovation and sustainability, to continue to be competitive on international markets. We will continue to carry out with even more strength and determination the instances of our entrepreneurs and our entrepreneurs, we will stay close to them, we will be the megaphone of their needs without compromises and dialectical alchemy.”.
During his speech in the Assembly, Camisa recalled the results achieved in this three-year period by Confapi. “We have consolidated significantly – he said – our role in the Italian business representation system, expanding our presence not only in the main national decision-making tables, but also in the European ones. We returned to the Cnel, we were reconfirmed to the Cese and we were appointed in the direction of the Mattei Plan and Internationalization. Again on the internationalization front, we have signed agreement protocols with Sace and Simest and we work with Ice to support our companies to maximise the effectiveness of international actions at every point of view. We work with Cgil, Cisl and Uil on the front of bilaterality.
The President then presented the strategic programme for his next mandate that will put the territories even more in the center of the Confederation. “The wealth of Confapi – he has emphasized – lies in the plurality of our territories: to make them dialogue, to put them on the net and to value their specificities means to make the Association stronger, more representative and to the service of those who do business. We will promote a dialogue agenda and proposals to address the industrial crises of the Centre-Nord, the productive heart of the country, strengthen the supply chains, support the green and digital transition and enhance human capital as a leverage of competitiveness and cohesion. For the South of the country, instead, we will start a project that will focus on legality, innovation, networks and sustainable development, we will create territorial branches and training paths for managers. We will continue to play our role within the Italian and European institutions, and affect industrial policies, promoting a development model based on innovation, equity and competitiveness.”.
“The next three years will be fundamental to remain competitive on national and international markets. To do so – he concluded – we want more and more to be a reference point like the only real Confederation of the small and medium Italian private industry”.
The assembly of Confapi unanimously elected Filiberto Martinetto president emeritus of the Confederation who takes the place of Maurizio Casasco who from today no longer plays any role within Confapi. Martinetto, 91 years old, is one of the pillars of CONFAPI where he is appointed as Treasurer and Chairman of the Commission of Essays.
