ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Consap Spa and BCC Iccrea Group today signed a memorandum of understanding for the start of a collaboration aimed at promoting the social and financial inclusion of vulnerable individuals through the access by customers of Cooperative Credit Banks belonging to the BCC Ic Group to support and solidarity measures managed by CONSAP. In detail, Consap and the BCC Iccrea Group will collaborate in the activities related to the information and dissemination of the Study Fund and the Prima Casa Fund in order to increase its knowledge by the BCCs of the Group and for the benefit of their customers. The official signature ceremony of the protocol took place today at the headquarters of Consap in the presence of the heads of the Public Insurance Services and the BCC Iccrea Group.
“The agreement signed today with the BCC Iccrea Group allows us to strengthen, make known and further expand the market of honorary loans and the ‘new’ Fund Studio which, with an amendment to the Decree Sport and Education, presented by Minister Abodi and supported by the whole Government, can today count on the guarantee of the last instance of the State – explains Sestino Giacomoni, President of Consap -. Moreover, thanks to the normative modifications proposed by Consap, the maximum amount available to the worthy young people has been doubled, climbed to 50 thousand euros for those who study in Italy and 70 thousand for those who go abroad and have been extended the courses admitted to financing, with the introduction also of the ITS Accademy, of the artistic and musical formation and of the masters abroad. The amounts will be refundable in a period between 3 and 15 years, with the beginning of the depreciation plan postponed at least 30 months after the last dispensing.”.
Vincenzo Sanasi d’Arpe, CEO of Consap, continued: “We are very satisfied with the start of this collaboration with the BCC Iccrea Group which will support the further development of the Home Fund, a tool that facilitates the relationship between the citizen and the bank through public guarantee and which has become the instrument for the provision of approximately 20% of home loans at national level. The use of the measure continues to be of great interest and to receive a considerable influx of questions. Consap’s guarantee is expected, with variable percentages between 50% and 90%, in favor not only of the priority categories ‘traditional’, such as young couples, family nucleuses, conductors of popular housing, under 36, but also of the numerous families, category proposed at the initiative of the same Consap that has taken the stimulus of the Government towards policies in favor of birth”.
“With this understanding we want to reiterate the Group’s commitment and all its BCCs in favour of the financial inclusion of people and families – said Giuseppe Maino, President of the BCC Iccrea Group –. We also want to facilitate access to secure financial support tools, allowing young couples, students and people in vulnerability situations to quickly achieve concrete solutions. In fact, we have dedicated a specific product to the students, “Prestito Generazione BCC”, which uses the guarantee of the Fund for the study of Consap”.
Mauro Pastore, Managing Director of the BCC Iccrea Group, concluded: “We are the first banking group to sign an agreement with Consap, confirming the commitment of the BCC Iccrea Group to strengthen the bond of our BCCs with the reference territories. This agreement will allow us to increase funding for young couples and students, customers of great importance for our BCC. The shared objective is to increase the number of BCCs agreed with Consap on the two main guarantee measures: the First Home Fund and the Fund for the Study. Only for the Prima Casa Fund, in September 2025, the BCCs of our Group have issued almost 71,000 guarantees, for a total amount of €7.8 billion”.
