CES 2026: global innovation returns to Las Vegas, with Italy increasingly leading

From 6 to 9 January 2026, CES 2026 returned to transform Las Vegas into the heart of global innovation. The most important global exhibition dedicated to technology and future brought together thousands of companies, startups, investors and decision makers from over 150 countries, confirming the reference platform to intercept trends that will mark the coming years.

Generative artificial intelligence, advanced robotics, sustainable mobility, smart, health tech cities, extended reality and technologies for energy transition were the great themes of this edition. In particular, AI is no longer just a promise: at CES 2026 it has become a transversal infrastructure, integrated into devices, services, software and industrial processes. From consumer electronics to health, from automotive to manufacturing, innovation has become increasingly concrete, applied and oriented to the real impact on everyday life.

In addition to the global technology giants, the ESC reiterated its role as an accelerator for innovative startups and SMEs, capable of intercepting emerging needs and transforming them into scalable solutions. In this context, Europe has strengthened its presence and, among the most observed countries, Italy has been able to stand out for design quality, creativity and ability to combine technology and design.

Il Padiglione Italia: eccellenza, ricerca e visione

Great attention has also catalyzed this year the Italian Pavilion, an increasingly central space within the ESC, a meeting point between innovation, applied research and industry. A strategic showcase that has told a technological, dynamic and competitive Italy, far from stereotypes and perfectly inserted in the great global trends.

Startup, innovative SMEs and Italian research centres have presented solutions ranging from artificial intelligence to the Internet of Things, from cybersecurity to biomedical, through intelligent mobility and green technologies. Projects often born in territorial ecosystems very different from each other, but united by a strong international orientation and a capacity to dialogue with global markets.

The Italian Pavilion has confirmed not only as an exhibition area, but as a real networking hub: a place where entrepreneurs, investors and large international players could confront each other, start contacts and build new collaborations. A bridge between the Italian innovation system and the US technology ecosystem, with particular attention to the West Coast.

Un’Italia che guarda al futuro

Italian participation in CES 2026 represents a clear signal: Made in Italy is not only synonymous with tradition and creativity, but also with technology, research and future vision. The companies present showed how innovation can be born from the meeting between engineering skills, project culture and attention to social and environmental impact.

In an increasingly competitive global context, the ESC remains a key showcase for this transformation. And Italy, with its Pavilion, continues to play a leading role, leading to Las Vegas ideas, solutions and talents capable of speaking the language of the future.
