Bridge on the Strait, the Ad Ciucci “Informations already planned in an executive phase, we do not anticipate increase of costs”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The managing director of the Strait of Messina, Pietro Ciucci, points out on the recent positive opinion by the Higher Council of Public Works, the maximum consultative technical organ of the Country.

“The vast majority of prescriptions confirm the recommendations of the Scientific Committee, the independent body provided by law. These are themes we were already working on, because we had already foreseen a series of insights to develop in the executive phase. As a matter of fact we have already known and on which we have already foreseen the necessary insights that an executive design entails, we do not anticipate increases in costs compared to the estimated 13.5 billion. And the same is about timing. The aim of opening traffic in 2034 remains still. I remember that this Opera has been working for years the greatest experts in the design and construction of suspended bridges. They see the bridge abroad as a test bench for the country. We are all looking for the goal together. ”
