Competition is present, but when know-how, operational support and quality products are required, Italy can be competitive. The key factors are funding, local presence and continuity of contacts” and “as regards cultural exchange, CIUZ promotes various events, cooperation between Italian universities and Uzbeke and the great tourist potential of Uzbekistan”.
The Council of Simest, Regina Corradini D’Arienzo, stressed that “before the financial instruments, we must be able to understand what opportunities are in that country and above all to take companies. As Sace we have all the tools that can support companies that want to approach the new markets and in Uzbekistan we have a portfolio of about 400 million that covers a series of operations in diversified sectors.” Paolo Lombardo, Director of International Cooperation for the Development of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, added that “in less than two years we mobilized 430 million euros in the region, of which 100 million in Uzbekistan to accelerate the green transition and develop projects with high technological value.
