Banca Generali, for the Financial Times is “Best Private Bank in Italy” for PWM

MILANO (ITALPRESS) – Banca Generali is the best private bank in Italy according to the Financial Times Group which awarded it the prize – “Best Private Bank in Italy” – during the international ceremony held in London and which brought together the most important world realities of the sector. It is the seventh time in the last nine years that the private bank of Leo receives this prestigious award that collects the independent judgement of operators and journalists of “Professional Wealth Management” (PWM) and “The Banker”, which represents one of the most renowned publications in the financial industry, with roots dating back to 1926. From the appointment to CEO of Gian Maria Mossa nine years ago, Banca Generali noted for the acceleration in the solutions and platforms dedicated to bankers and to customers of the “Private” range that today represents about 70% of the total masses of the bank. From the first examples of wealth management services of the first prize in 2016, to the vertical lines tailored to asset management, passing through computer applications dedicated to each service, until the implementation of AI to support bankers, the path recognized over the years by the jury of the FT to Banca Generali has always emphasized the tendency to innovation, as “first mover” in the sector, combined with the ability to grow.

The return for stakeholders and developmental fundamentals is then an integral part of the jury analysis parameters called to analyze the best practices for the major global areas of private banking. And also in this year’s merit, the judgment concerned: “the leadership in investment and advanced advisory services, innovation in tools and SME support”, where the recent acquisition of the independent boutique Intermonte was particularly appreciated.

“We are honored with the attention that comes from the FT Group’s publications, recognizing the commitment of the entire Banca Generali team. For a decade we have built a transparent and constructive dialogue with the market and the international financial community, which the London group’s publications represent, explaining the desire to trace a unique path in our industry looking not to short-term objectives but to sustainable growth, enhancing people and all stakeholders, so as to create value for the whole system over the years. To do this, we try to address the market challenges that arise by increasing the axle in the search for innovation and excellence, always comparing with the best practices in the side. In this sense, experiences are inserted in the tokenization of assets with Conio, or the implementation of AI in our operational activities, as well as the last frontier of the customization of funds, or the commitment to approach private savings towards the real economy. From the first prize from the FT in 2016 our masses rose by almost 140% and the title has approximately tripled its value. This trend of development continues and with the novelties of new projects such as inurbanking and intermonte towards SMEs, new important opportunities are opened. I cordially thank all the people of Banca Generali and our Group who contribute every day to these goals, sharing with them this recognition”, commented the managing director of Banca Generali, Gian Maria Mossa.

At the 17th edition, the Global Private Banking Awards were among the most important awards in the global private banking sector. Each year the proposals are evaluated by an independent jury formed by analysts, investors and journalists, which is a fundamental element for the entire selection and evaluation process. These awards collect qualitative and quantitative information from private banking groups – operating globally in Europe, Asia, North America, the Middle East, Latin America and Africa – in order to award a series of awards par excellence.
