MILANO (ITALPRESS) – Banca Generali has been named the best private bank in Italy by the Financial Times Group, which has awarded it the “Best Private Bank in Italy” award during the ceremony in London in the presence of the main protagonists of the global sector. For the reality of Leo it is the fourth consecutive recognition, the eighth in the last 10 years.
The award expresses the independent judgement of analysts, managers and journalists of “Professional Wealth Management” (PWM) and “The Banker”, who represent two most renowned publications in the financial industry, with roots dating back to a hundred years ago, in 1926. The evaluation combines quantitative results, such as growth and return for stakeholders, and qualitative analysis: from the solidity of the business model to development strategies, from the quality of the service to the ability to innovate the offer.
A set of parameters with which the jury compares the best experiences of international private banking and which for Banca Generali have highlighted: “the ability to integrate an advanced asset advice, a high level of customization in offering and relationship with the customer, innovation in tools and a strong presence in wealth management and within solutions for entrepreneurs, with the success of the Pmi2Change project for companies listed with capitalization below the billion. In this regard, the Bank Generali Group’s expertise is underlined: from Intermonte’s investment banking to the “wealth” services of the trusteee, to investment management with BGFML and to the new ETF window active with the Irish Investlinx.”.
From the appointment of Gian Maria Mossa to the top of the company ten years ago Banca Generali has highlighted the innovation and momentum in the solutions and platforms dedicated to bankers and customers “Private”, which today represents about 80% of the total masses of the bank. The PWM-The Banker Prize has accompanied this path, recognizing both the total return for shareholders, in the order of more than 380% in the decade (from 30/10/2026), with an annual average, including dividends, of approximately 17%, and the numerous acquisitions and initiatives in digital: from the ecosystem of applications for services to robo for advisor, up to the implementation of AI to support of the banker.
“We are happy and proud of the attention and esteem that year after year we reserve the specialized publications of the FT, which I thank because for a decade now recognize in our bank the point of reference for private banking in Italy. This award goes to all colleagues who each day contribute with passion and dedication to the growth of our dream of a different bank, unique in the relationship with customers. From personalization in investments to widening the offer with new tools and solutions, we continue to confront ourselves with international best practices and enhance the contribution of technology to strengthen our model of service, with the banker and the relationship of trust. The alignment of interest in asset protection and the expertise in investment banking together with Intermonte are accelerating the evolution of the bank towards the needs of entrepreneurs, placing us at the forefront in the challenges related to succession and to the valorization of these investments, for the benefit of customers and the commitment to the system-country”, says Gian Maria Mossa, managing director of Banca Generali.
