ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Pope Leo XIV received the delegates of the Municipalities of the cities and villages affected ten years ago by the earthquake and called for “violable and urgent responses”, urging us to employ “every energy so that material reconstruction takes place in the shortest possible time”. Vatican News reports.
“In such dramatic cases, it is not enough to feed good intentions or to rely on a disorderly volunteerism. To reconstruct it is necessary to acquire eyes able to see in a ruin the project of a house and a city”, says Leo XIV.
The Pope’s encouragement is therefore to “reprise the path” with, on the one hand, “the Synodal approach to build together”; on the other, “the prophetic vision, which, starting from the present need, can look forward and grasp what is the common good to be pursued fatly”.
