MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Matteo Salvini was reconfirmed secretary of the League at the end of the vote at the Milan Congress.
“If you leave me, I will have the mandate to go to the Council of Ministers to bring the clear position of the League: you cannot continue to send money and weapons to Ukraine,” said Salvini during his intervention. “Even because I don’t want a part of this money to end up in my pocket at some corrupt official near Zelensky,” added Salvini. “I ask the vote of this motion, raise your hand who believes that I have this mandate,” he continued.
“This European Union must be changed from top to bottom” because so “it is only a huge problem, a huge burden,” he said.
“I regret the error made, and I take full responsibility, entering the Draghi Government with the Democratic Party. Never again,” he added.
During his speech at the congress, Salvini presented the symbol “Lega Italia Federale”. “I am convinced that federalism is the past, the present and the future, for the North, for the Centre and for the South,” said Salvini.
