MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Stability is the key word of the sixth edition of the Edison Censis observatory, presented at Palazzo Edison, which for six years offers a unique heritage of knowledge on the evolution of the relationship with the energy of Italian citizens and companies, especially the smallest.
Consumers grow propensity to bind to suppliers with multiannual contracts. Two-thirds of Italians are ready to renounce the benefits of any price reductions in order to shelter themselves from sudden rises, it is a preference that crosses all the income ranges, from low income (67%) to high income (68%). In addition, 64% are interested in a multiannual offer of at least 5 years at a competitive price from renewable sources. Among the micro-enterprises, however, 67% fear that serious international events cause rise in energy prices. In concrete terms, however, only 25% achieved an energy diagnosis to assess their consumption and identify possible improvements. And few will move in the near future: 63% of enterprises have no intervention in the next two years. In addition, nine out of ten companies do not use any form of incentive or public facilitation.
The most significant innovation regarding microenters is the emergence of a demand for contractual stability: there is a growing propensity for fixed price offers on horizons not only short. 71% of respondents consider fixed-price offers important even for 12 or 24 months. About 80% of consumers in the free market indicate the reliability of the supplier as one of the most appreciated aspects. And 85% of Italians are satisfied with their electricity provider, 78% of the gas.
“We renew our promise to our customers: listen actively to them and dialogue with them to understand their needs and expectations that we respond to with customized solutions, capillaries of our presence on the territory and online and qualified staff. We understand the need for stability and for this we have launched the Edison Sweet Luce and Gas offer at a fixed price. We also presented to Enna the Edison 5xTe Luce Km0 offer that combines fixed price for 5 years, increasing bonuses in bills and energy at km0: the first step in a strategy that will involve other Italian provinces”, said Massimo Quaglini, CEO of Edison Energia.
“Finally, from this year’s Observatory it emerges that the majority of micro enterprises have no time to devote themselves to energy issues: for this reason we support them in access to incentives and facilitated measures, with dedicated advice and concrete paths that help transform projects into sustainable and affordable investments,” he concluded.
“In this new complex phase of the energy sector, a strong demand for stability emerges, both from families and micro enterprises. In these years the ability to manage daily energy consumption with a certain delicacy has grown in households, awareness of the importance of energy efficiency and attention to forms of self-production. The microenters, however, very attentive to energy, are still unable to devote the time, attention and resources necessary. For this reason, their request for accompaniment remains high in finding organizational and investment solutions for better energy management,” said Massimiliano Valerii, CEO of Censis.
