Antonio Procacci is the new director of the magazine “L’Edicola”

BARI (ITALPRESS) – From today Antonio Procacci is the new director responsible for L’Edicola. The professional journalist, 50 years old, succeeds Lorena Saracino and takes the lead of the magazine and its editorial network. The direction of Procacci includes the entire information perimeter of the newspaper: from the national edition to the territorial presence in Puglia, to the Piedmont and the Valle d’Aosta, where L’Edicola is proposed in synergy and native combination with La Sentinella del Canavese, historical local signature with over 130 years of history.

Procacci is also entrusted with the development of a new multimedia publishing pole that, next to the printed paper, the web and the social ones, will gradually be accompanied by radio and television media in the Mezzogiorno of Italy. A project that aims to integrate languages, platforms and territories into a single information system.

Procacci arrives at the direction of L’Edicola after more than thirty years of journalistic profession, 23 of them spent in Telenorba, where he held several roles over time: correspondent, envoy, editor, author and host of the main programs of the issuer, until he became deputy director of the TgNorba and conductor of the main edition of the news, that of 7.30. His professional career also includes several experiences in printed paper at the beginning of his career. The publisher’s choice aims to combine Procacci’s long journalistic experience with a cross-media view of information, based on the integration between paper, web, social, video and new communication tools, in the sign of accuracy and service to readers.

“I have accepted this challenge with enthusiasm and determination – says Antonio Procacci –. Driving The newsstand and contributing to the construction of a new editorial pole in the Mezzogiorno is a privilege and a great responsibility. We want to build information capable of combining different territories and languages, without losing sight of what I consider the essence of our trade: telling the facts, asking questions, going beyond the surface of the news and trying to explain what changes in people’s lives. After so many years, especially in front of a camera, I have no intention to stop putting my face on. I will also do this in L’Edicola: on our social channels there will be daily appointments in which I will tell and comment the most important facts of the day, along with interviews, direct and new video content. The card will remain fundamental, but the newsstand will have to live and inform throughout the day, on all platforms.”.

The publisher expresses to Antonio Procacci the best wishes of good work, of course that his experience and his authority will contribute to the growth of L’Edicola and the development of the new editorial project. A sincere thanks goes to the outgoing director Lorena Saracino for the precious work done and for the contribution given in these months to the growth of the newspaper.
