ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Raffaele Costa, Minister of the Republic, has disappeared at the age of 90. Born in Mondovì, exponent of the liberal tradition, he was one of the protagonists of the Italian institutional history. Costa has been several times minister: of Health in the governments Amato and Berlusconi, and of the Transports in the government of Carlo Azeglio Ciampi. In his career, which began as a congressman in 1976, Costa was also president of the Province of Cuneo, from 2004 to 2009, as well as Euro MP in Strasbourg.

The Council of Ministers was convened next Monday, 14 September at 10 am at Palazzo Chigi, for the examination of the following agenda: Decree of the President of the Republic on the deliberation of the State Exequies of Senator Emma Bonino and Mr Raffaele Costa, pursuant to Article 2 of Law No 36 of 7 February 1987.
