The presentation ceremony of the credentials with the Governor-General, Sir Patrick Linton Allen, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Kamina Johnson Smith, will take place tomorrow 3 September.
During the mission, which will develop between Kingston, St. Elizabeth and Montego Bay, Ambassador Peronaci will also meet the Minister of Industry, Investment and Trade, Aubyn Hill.
It will also be an opportunity to discuss business collaborations with representatives of the local economic community, including the President of the Chamber of Commerce, the President of the Association of Manufacturing and Exporters and the President of the organization of the private sector.
The Ambassador will subsequently health the Italian community present on the island, consisting mainly of operators in the tourism and catering sector, as well as representatives of the cultural world. Strong presence of the Campari group, which will host an event to which many local authorities are expected.
“It’s a great pleasure for me to be here. We will work to further strengthen the relations between Italy and Jamaica, starting from opportunities for economic and cultural collaboration. The area of Kingston is at the centre of deep infrastructure transformations that can open investment and growth opportunities. I’ll talk about it with the Foreign Minister Smith and the Minister of Industry Hill,” said Ambassador Peronaci.
The visit will end with stages in St. Elizabeth and Montego Bay, where meetings are planned with Governor General Conrad Pitkin and Mayor of Montego Bay, Richard Vernon.
