GENOVA (ITALPRESS) – Territorial health continues to ensure its presence on the weekend of Ferragosto. In Genoa, the Houses of the Community also ensure continuity in public holidays, offering citizens a point of reference for low-complex health problems that do not require access to the ER. “Ferragosto is a special moment, with a city changing rhythm and with many people moving, but the need for health care does not go on holiday – emphasizes the regional Councillor for Health Massimo Nicolò -. For this reason we wanted to ensure the presence of territorial health even during this weekend, making available to citizens services and professionals”.
The Houses of the Community are one of the pillars of the new organization of Ligurian health: structures designed to give a close and timely response to citizens and to avoid, when not necessary, the use of the ER. Problems such as fever, sore throat, cough and cold, small traumas, medications, changes in blood pressure, mild or moderate pain and other conditions that do not have emergency-emergency characteristics. “The message we want to give is simple: even in August the citizen is not alone. The territorial network is present and must become increasingly the first reference point for health needs that do not require a hospital. It is an important cultural change, which allows to offer a more appropriate response and, at the same time, to lighten the pressure on the ER”.
