ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The Minister of Interior Matteo Piantedosi met today at Viminale the Algerian homologue Said Sayoud. According to a Viminale note, at the centre of the interview were the analysis of migration flows and the shared intent to counter human trafficking, blocking illegal departures. Particular attention was paid to the collaboration on repatriations and the strengthening of synergies between police forces, aimed at dismantling transnational organised crime.
“Algeria, declared Piantedosi, is a strategic partner with which we have a privileged relationship, as evidenced by the frequent contacts between Premier Meloni and President Tebboune. Our common goal remains to face uneven migration dynamics that often cross the borders of individual states.”.
