“In May 2026, net of seasonal factors – Istat comments –, there is a positive dynamic on a monthly basis of industrial turnover indices in a strict sense and services, both in value and in volume. For industry, growth is driven by the foreign component, while for services major increases have affected professional, scientific and technical activities. On a quarterly basis the change in value is positive in both compartments, while volumes return to industry and grow to a modest extent for services. The comparison in tendential terms, net of the calendar effects, shows a lively growth in value that is associated with a moderately positive dynamic for volumes, both in industry and in services”.
