The meeting of the Global Alliance for the Solution to Two States will begin today in the Farnesina, which will continue in the morning with a high-level segment co-chaired by Minister Tajani and Saudi Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, and with the participation of the Foreign Minister of the Palestinian Authority Varsen Aghabekian and the Senior Advisor of the Board of Peace, Aryeh Lightstone. The two days of work, says Farnensina, will end tomorrow afternoon with a closed-door segment dedicated to interreligious dialogue. Today’s session sees the participation of some 30 technical delegations, including co-chairs of the eight working groups of the New York Conference and other countries active in the dossier. The High Representative for Gaza, Nickolay Mladenov, who has the mandate to coordinate transient governance, reconstruction and implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan in 20 Points will take place at the meeting. The session today aims to take stock of the progress made in implementing the New York Declaration, studying new synergies for the peace process through the implementation of UN Resolution 2803 and the Board of Peace. The Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Solution of the Two States was established in 2024 on impulse of Saudi Arabia, Norway and the European Union.
