ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The Minister of Health, Orazio Schillaci, this morning attended the meeting of the Committee for the address and evaluation of active policies and the national coordination for the health and safety monitoring of work provided by Legislative Decree 81 of 2008. What took place today was the first meeting after the approval, at the State-Regions Conference, of the National Strategy 2026-2030 for health and safety at work that represents, said the Minister, “a very important milestone for our nation”.
“Now – Schillaci continued – we have to work for its implementation. We have a programme that will guide us for the next few years, with ambitious, concrete and measurable goals with the aim of strengthening the prevention system and making coordination between all the institutions involved even more effective.” In the implementation phase of the Strategy, the Committee met today “will play a central role in fostering synergies with other institutions such as the Ministry of Labour”. Finally, the Minister stressed that in recent years it has been consolidated in our country “a modern and integrated approach to health protection in workplaces, fully consistent with the vision of an integrated public health”.
