ROMA (ITALPRESS) – With Invimit’s commitment to the management of the Real Asset Fund and to the Italian Investment Fund of that of the Enterprise Fund, the National Fund of Made in Italy (FNMI) enters the operational phase. Established by the framework law on Made in Italy (Law No. 206 of 27 December 2023) promoted by Mimit, and implemented in concert with the MEF, the Fund has a total allocation of 900 million euros to strengthen national strategic chains and ensure the security of supply of critical raw materials.
“With this Fund we offer the country a stable instrument of industrial policy, able to support the growth of enterprises and strengthen the strategic sectors, starting from that of critical raw materials, decisive for the energy and digital transition and for the most advanced sectors of our economy,” says the Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso. “The goal is to mobilise new investments, secure supply chains, reduce dependencies from abroad and consolidate the industrial sovereignty of Italy.”
In detail, the Real Asset Fund has a budget of 300 million euros and is intended for investments in the real estate of the national strategic chains. The Enterprise Fund, with a budget of 600 million euros, will instead carry out direct and indirect investments, under market conditions, in the capital of the enterprises operating in the strategic sectors. Particular attention will be paid to the entire chain of critical raw materials value: from extraction to processing and processing, from supply to distribution, to recycling and reuse. The Fund will also be able to intervene in the further strategic sectors identified by the Strategic Technical Committee established at the Mimit.
Overall, the two instruments aim to support public resources new private capital, supporting the growth of enterprises and investments in the decisive sectors for the country’s industrial autonomy.
