FARNBOROUGH (UK) (ITALPRESS) – “The increase in production capacity compared to an increased market demand is comforted by the awareness of having a supply chain able to respond dynamically and particularly effective to these demands.” This is said by the managing director and general manager of Leonardo Lorenzo Mariani, on the edge of the International Airshow of Farnborough, in the UK. Leonardo’s strength is the ability to adapt to the market, thanks to the flexibility and selection of qualified staff: “We managed to adapt thanks to the ability to attract talent and to use our productive assets to the best,” explains Mariani.
In Farnborough Mariani announced the closure of a contract for the provision of 11 helicopters to the Saudi company The Helicopter Company (THC), for private transport and health emergency services.
In addition, agreements have been concluded with the Republic of Indonesia for 12 light multi-purpose fighter aircraft, intended for the Country’s Aviation, and for helicopters intended for the Navy.
Finally, the full operation of the Joint Venture (JV) LBA Systems was announced, in partnership with the Turkish company Baykar, to enter the field of remote piloting systems. Mariani also believes that a collaboration with the Ukrainian industry should be considered: “We have no precise objectives but in these years they have acquired important skills, so Leonardo would benefit from this collaboration.”.
