Tajani “The important thing is that electoral law passed, there is no government crisis”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “The important thing is that electoral law has passed. Preferences are a detail, I said it before the vote. There were some MPs who didn’t want them, and there was the theme of the gender share. A non-political vote, however: a storm has been made in a glass of water on an amendment tabled, among other things not by the whole district.” This was said by the Deputy Premier and National Secretary of Forza Italia, Antonio Tajani, in an interview with the daily newspaper “Il Messaggero”, about the tensions in the centreright during the examination of the electoral law.

“There was an assembly of our group which ultimately decided to support the amendment – he continued –. But I repeat, we are talking about a vote on one hundred”. Then, on preferences he added: “I know Maurizio Lupi wants to propose the amendment again. You will see in due time.” On the other hand, on the left, he says, “Serene: there is no government crisis. They are their contradictions to be political, not ours.”.
