ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “We will maintain the commitments made, starting with that of 5% of the GDP for defence and security expenses by 2035. But we will do it as we decide, without undergoing any diktat on the purchase of weapons or US military systems. We will invest mainly in Italian companies such as Leonardo, Finmeccanica, Fincantieri, and other smaller but important ones. It will also be a way to grow our specialized technology. And we’ll be in the front row of Lebanon. After tomorrow, Tuesday, talks will be held in Rome at the level of ambassadors and mediators. And there is another European and Italian interest that we will defend in every way”. The Foreign Minister Tajani says this in an interview with Corriere della Sera.
“All our solidarity with Giorgia Meloni, which certainly does not intimidate”, he adds. Tomorrow “in Paris I will participate in a summit between European countries that will mark the birth of a ballistic anti-missile coalition, aimed at the creation of an industrial collaboration and technological capacity able to offer protection to all Europe starting from the Ukrainian experience”.
