MILAN (ITALPRESS) – In the heart of the Iraqi city of Najaf, where daily life stories intertwine, the San Donato Group has helped revive a place of care. Not just a hospital, but a reference point for a whole territory. The project at Najaf Teaching Hospital was born from the vision of not limited to renewing the spaces, but to give strength to those who work there every day and build health services to the people waiting for them. “The results achieved by the San Donato Group at Najaf Teaching Hospital are an extraordinary testimony to what international cooperation can accomplish when it is guided by competence, vision and commitment – says Kamel Ghribi, Chairman of the GKSD Group and Vice President of the San Donato Group. When we started this project, our goal was to effectively improve the quality of care. Today, in some departments, mortality has passed from levels close to 100% to about 35%, and now we are going towards 10%, with a continuous improvement towards the best international standards. Looking at these numbers, I got excited, they’re great results. It means that on 100 patients today we save 75, 80 and are almost going towards the zeroing of mortality.” “Behind these numbers – adds Ghribi – there are doctors, nurses and professionals who each day save lives with competence and dedication. It is to them that my most sincere thanks go. Najaf Teaching Hospital shows that investing in health means investing in the future of people and strengthening the link of cooperation between Italy and Iraq.”.
