ROMA (ITALPRESS) – In the first quarter, according to Istat data, the prices for the production of services on the business market (BtoB) increase by 1.2% on a conjunctural basis and by 2.7% on a curtain basis (was +1.9% in the fourth quarter of 2025). Conjunctural growth, equal to that recorded the previous quarter, is extended with different intensity to almost all economic activities. It is more marked for the prices of transport and storage services (+2.7%) – with increases in all individual sectors, the wider for air transport of goods (+4.9%) and marine transport (+3.9%) – that return to grow on an annual basis (+2.2%, from -0.8% in the fourth quarter 2025). The prices of information and communication services increase by 0.4% in economic terms and show a trend growth in acceleration (+2.2%, from +1.6% in the fourth quarter of 2025).
The prices of services of professional, scientific and technical activities increase by 0.3% compared to the previous quarter, synthesis of widespread increases, the broadest for other professional, scientific and technical activities (+2.8%). On a yearly basis, the prices of the sector recorded a growth in moderate attenuation (+2.8%, from +3.1% in the fourth quarter of 2025). The prices of rental services, travel agencies and support services to enterprises record a conjunctural increase of 0.2%, which contribute all individual compartments, excluding car rental (-2.2%) and support activities for office functions and other business support services (-0.7%); their annual growth, slightly slowing down, remains sustained (+3.7%, from +3.9% in the previous quarter). For the total market, business and consumer (BtoAll), in the first trimester 2026 the prices to the production of the services increase of 1.2% in terms of economic and 3.0% in terms of curtains (was +2.1% in the previous quarter).
